Statue, El flautista - 25 cm - Bronze

Figurative sculpture depicting a young itinerant musician playing a flute and carrying a small accordion or bellows instrument.

The figure shows meticulous modeling, especially visible in the face, hair, hands, clothing and feet, with an attractive dark patina and coppery highlights that accentuate the reliefs.

The composition portrays the boy in motion, with a marked dynamic stance, following the European tradition of small genre sculptures of musicians and popular figures.

The sculpture is mounted on a solid rectangular base of veined natural marble. On the front there is a metal plaque with an inscription or signature that appears to read “Vannan".

Material: patinated metal with a bronze finish; marble base.

Condition: good overall condition, with signs of wear compatible with its age; please see photographs as part of the description. It has a small flaw at the tip of the flute.
