Description from the seller
Vintage Tomado wall rack – A. Dekker – Netherlands – circa 1950s/60s
Original vintage Tomado wall rack, designed by A. Dekker, executed in the characteristic minimalist wire mesh with three metal shelves in yellow, light gray and red.
A characteristic example of Dutch postwar design. The combination of the black metal wire frame and the primary colors gives the rack its recognizable modernist look for which Tomado is known.
The rack is in original vintage condition and has deliberately not been restored. The shelves and the metal frame show signs of use, scratches, dents, local paint wear and patina appropriate to its age. These traces are clearly visible in the photos and contribute to the authentic character of the object. The shelves bear the inscription "TOMADO-HOLLAND".
The three shelves can be placed at different heights in the wire frames, allowing the layout to be adjusted to your preference.
Dimensions: approx. 68 cm wide × 68 cm high.
A decorative and functional piece of Dutch vintage design, particularly suitable for a mid-century, modernist or eclectic interior.
