Rare Christofle collectible bottle opener for Renault (1975)
Elegant pocket/table bottle opener, made by the famous Parisian silversmith house Christofle as a year-end corporate gift for the Commercial Directorate of the Renault car company.
Front:
Relief bust depicting Charles Christofle (1805-1863), founder of the well-known silverware house, surrounded by the inscription "CHARLES CHRISTOFLE ORFÈVRE À PARIS 1805-1863".
Back:
Iconic Renault diamond crest at the center, surrounded by the promotional wording "MEILLEURS VOEUX POUR L'ANNÉE 1975-DIRECTION COMMERCIALE".
Marks and punches:
Features the original Christofle hallmarks, the silver-plated metal marking and the clearly visible "FRANCE" inscription on the top.
Condition:
In excellent vintage condition, with a beautiful natural patina and tiny signs of time consistent with the era.
Note for collectors:
