STORIA / PANORAMICA
The 1968 Innocenti Mini Cooper represents one of the most interesting Italian interpretations of the famous Mini, produced under license by Innocenti at the Milan plant. The Cooper version stands out for its sportier character, thanks to a brighter engine and a particularly lively driving stance, while preserving the compact and iconic design that has made the Mini one of the most recognizable cars in the world.
The example offered at auction belongs to the late-1960s Innocenti production, a period when the Mini Cooper was one of the most appreciated small sports cars. Today this configuration is especially sought after for its rarity and the charm of Italian production.
EXTERIOR
The body is solid, the paintwork has been recently restored by the previous owner and presents in beautiful condition, with minimal signs of use and age.
Also the chrome work is shiny and in good condition, as are the various original details of the car. A polishing and detailing treatment has just been completed.
The underbody is in solid condition and was restored a few years ago, resulting in roadworthy condition.
INTERIOR
The interior is in beautiful condition, complete and restored in keeping with the car’s originality, including the dashboard and the steering wheel.
The cabin shows only minimal and normal signs of use and age. The headliner is also in good overall condition and retains the original layout, as do the other distinctive details of this series and the instruments. The instrument hood has been repaired (see photos).
A sanitizing treatment has just been completed.
MECHANICS
Mechanically the car retains its original engine from birth, 998 cc, as per the registration certificate, which runs well. The clutch and gearbox operate correctly, as does the braking system. The technical inspection has been passed without any defects.
The car has always been regularly used, confirming good overall operation.
Technical inspections have consistently been passed without defects in 1987, 1994, 1999, 2002, 2005, 2007, 2011, 2014, 2016, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2025, valid until November 2027. Before prolonged use, a normal general check is nonetheless recommended.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
