BERGEON – Winding and disarming key for clock springs, No. 2301

Old watchmaker’s tool case comprising a Bergeon key No. 2301, intended for winding and controlled disarming of clock springs.

The set is presented in its original wooden box, with its various interchangeable wedges, its metal handle and the period illustrated manual fixed inside the lid. Dealer plaque Venot Fils, 145 rue du Temple, Paris.

Tool stamped “BERGEON”, No. 2301, with patent mentions. Swiss manufacture, probably from the mid-20th century.

Condition: a nice old set showing a patina of use, traces of oxidation on some accessories and marks on the case. One small wedge is missing, visible by its empty slot. Set sold as is, not tested in use.
