This hand-knotted Kazak rug features an expressive geometric medallion design. The rust-red inner field is defined by three large, angular ornaments. Hook shapes, stylized flowers and traditional tribal symbols complement the strictly symmetrical layout.

Several variably patterned borders effectively frame the inner field. Particularly striking is the dark brown main border with stylized palmettes and star-shaped motifs. Rust red, cream, dark brown and muted turquoise give the rug a warm, primal appearance.

The wool pile on a cotton warp provides a robust texture and a pleasantly tangible surface. Its versatile format makes it well suited for living rooms and bedrooms, dining areas, or as a decorative focal point in the space.
