This hand-knotted Dagestan rug in the Akhty-Mikrakh design features two large geometric medallions arranged one above the other. The vivid red medallions have strongly graduated contours and are delineated by star-shaped centers, hooked motifs, and stylized plant motifs.

The dark blue field and the light yellow corner areas create a striking contrast to the red main ornaments. A broad border with geometric flowers, branched tendrils, and traditional Caucasian tribal symbols harmoniously frames the interior field. Red, dark blue, yellow, cream, and brown give the rug a striking color impression.

The wool pile on a cotton warp provides robust construction and a pleasantly tactile surface. Due to its characteristic Caucasian design, the rug is excellent for living and dining areas, bedrooms, or as a distinctive centerpiece in a classic or modern interior.
