This hand-knotted Indo-Tabriz rug features a finely worked, medallion-free all-over design. The deep red inner field is adorned with symmetrically arranged blossoms, palmettes, flowing arabesques and stylized leaf shapes.

A wide cream-colored main border frames the inner field, with large palmettes and floral vines. Narrow accompanying borders in beige, brown and old pink complement the balanced design. Red, cream, beige, brown and subtle greens give the rug a warm and elegant look.

The wool pile on a cotton warp provides a pleasantly soft surface and a robust construction. Due to its generous, elongated format, the rug is particularly suitable for large living and dining areas, bedrooms or representative rooms.
