Giotto Stoppino Space Age Armchair – 1970s

A fascinating vintage armchair in full Space Age style, dating from the 1970s and of clearly Italian manufacture (inspired by the famous lines from Giotto Stoppino's projects). The chair stands out for the extraordinary visual and material contrast between the sinuous structure and the liveliness of the upholstery.
Structure: Made of chrome-plated steel tubing with a continuous, flexible cantilever line, which provides stability, visual lightness, and a slight, comfortable springiness.
Seat and back: Cushioned and fully upholstered in red faux leather (skai).
The backrest features a characteristic semi-circular, enveloping shape, enriched by soft folds of leather that accentuate the padded aesthetic typical of the era.
The chair is in excellent condition with, of course, minor signs of wear in keeping with the object's age.

Affascinante poltroncina di modernariato in pieno stile Space Age, risalente agli anni '70 e di chiara manifattura italiana (ispirata alle celebri linee dei progetti di Giotto Stoppino).La sedia si distingue per lo straordinario contrasto visivo e materico tra la sinuosa struttura e la vivacità del rivestimento.
Struttura: Realizzata in tubolare d'acciaio cromato con una linea continua e flessibile a sbalzo (cantilever), che conferisce stabilità, leggerezza visiva e un leggero molleggio confortevole.
Seduta e Schienale: Imbottiti e interamente rivestiti in similpelle (skai) di colore rosso acceso. 
Lo schienale presenta una caratteristica forma a semiluna avvolgente, arricchita da morbide arricciature della pelle che accentuano l'estetica bombata tipica dell'epoca.
La sedia è in ottime condizioni con ovviamente piccoli segni del tempo in linea con l'età dell'oggetto.
