Elegant Italian Silver-Plated Food Serving Dish with Glass Insert – Pierced Gallery – Vintage
The piece has a particularly attractive and refined design, featuring an openwork pierced gallery, two ornate side handles and four decorative raised feet. The combination of the bright silver-coloured metal and transparent glass gives the piece an elegant appearance on a dining or buffet table.
The removable glass insert is designed for presenting and serving food, while the decorative metal holder provides an impressive table presentation.
The metalwork is marked “ITALY” together with a stylised manufacturer’s crest/monogram, which appears to contain the letters OM. The exact manufacturer has not been conclusively identified.
