AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Pair of tripod altar candlesticks - Silvered and gilded metal - 19th century.
Fascinating pair of large altar candlesticks dating from the second half of the 19th century, finely crafted in an eclectic style with Neoclassical references.
The objects feature splendid repoussé work. The stem and the tripod base are in silvered metal, enriched and embellished with decorative knots and acanthus leaf motifs in gilded bronze/brass. The original gilding shines magnificently, while the slight and natural wear of time on the silvering (which reveals the warm tone of the metal underneath) gives the pieces a splendid authentic patina.
Fine structural details:
Height: 43 cm each.
Internal structure: Both candlesticks retain the original internal wooden core hand-shaped, which serves as support for the metal plate and guarantees excellent stability.
Assembly: Solid through-bolt structure with central iron tie and square-dated nut, testimony to the integrity and authenticity of the 19th-century craftsmanship.
Very good conservation conditions, with normal signs of time and cleaning that certify their age. Splendid sacred art objects, perfect both for collectors and as refined furnishing elements. The candlesticks will be packed with maximum care and shipped with a tracking code.
