Description
For sale is a fascinating, authentic architectural element made from solid wood, dated to the 18th century. This historic object comes from the border region between India and Nepal and bears witness to the masterful, traditional woodcarving craftsmanship of this era.
Presumably, this piece originally served as a balcony lintel (an architectural support) that adorned splendid wood façades.
The item is sold together with a custom-made, modern iron stand, which is included in the delivery. The wooden element can be easily removed from the stand. Through this combination, the antique fragment is perfectly showcased and transformed into a sculptural work of art for modern interiors.
