It is primarily a very sturdily built deck with a distinctive mechanism. On units several decades old, cords, capstan, idler, and switches are the main points of attention.

This unit is in perfect condition and was very recently renovated for €160 excluding VAT. So it is not an attic find but a perfectly maintained device. (see photo)
For comparison: a working unit was recently offered in the Netherlands for €199, while a very nice example in Belgium at Catawiki was estimated around €220. An excellently restored unit recently sold for €290.
It is shipped very well packed and insured. I pay for the insurance.
