Six antique French faience dinner plates from Lunéville (late 19th century), each 25.4 cm in diameter with a scalloped rim, burgundy-red brushwork and gilt lines, a central armorial crest bearing the name Émile Grosheintz, and a Lunéville factory mark on the reverse; in excellent condition with minor wear.
Description from the seller
Elegant set of six antique French porcelain dinner plates by the renowned Lunéville manufactory, dating from the late 19th century.
Each plate features a beautifully shaped, gently scalloped rim decorated with refined burgundy-red brushwork and delicate gilt lines. At the centre is a finely detailed armorial crest bearing the name “Émile Grosheintz”, giving the service a distinctive aristocratic and highly personal character.
The warm ivory-toned porcelain, elegant heraldic decoration and restrained use of gilding reflect the refined French tableware tradition of the period. The reverse bears the historic Lunéville factory mark.
The plates remain in good antique condition for their age. Some traces of time are present, including surface scratches, crazing to the glaze, light wear to the decoration and gilding, and occasional small manufacturing irregularities or areas of glaze wear. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description.
A charming and highly decorative set, ideal for an elegant table setting, a period interior or a collection of historic French porcelain.
