Description from the seller
Black Lava – Unique Handcrafted Ceramic Vase
A one-of-a-kind sculptural ceramic vase inspired by the raw, powerful forms of volcanic rock and solidified lava.
The massive asymmetrical silhouette and deeply textured surface create the impression of a piece of black volcanic stone shaped by heat and time. Predominantly black, the surface is enlivened by subtle reddish-brown areas that resemble traces of exposed earth or glowing material beneath the dark crust.
The irregular opening and rugged contours emphasize the organic character of the piece, while the tactile surface invites close observation from every angle. Despite its raw, stone-like appearance, the vase is fully functional and can be filled with water and used for fresh flowers.
Hand-built and individually textured, this is a unique ceramic work in which functionality and sculpture come together. The natural irregularities, variations in texture and colour are intentional and make each piece completely unique.
