Description from the seller
Probably USSR – large metal ZIL-130-type tipping truck – mechanical tipping bed – approx. 1960s/70s
Description
Large vintage metal toy tipping truck from the Soviet era, modeled after the well-known ZIL trucks and presumably a ZIL-130-type.
A piece of toy, mostly made from stamped and lacquered metal. The cabin is painted red and bears the inscription “INTERNATIONAL” (not original letters). The large loading bed has a beige/sand-colored finish.
The truck is notably detailed for a toy from this period. Both cabin doors can be opened, and the cabin has a complete interior with bench, steering wheel, dashboard and gear lever. The windows are glazed and the truck is equipped with mirrors, metal fenders and wheels with rubber tires.
The loading bed can actually be tipped. The metal tipping mechanism and the construction beneath the bed are still present. The rear tailgate can also be opened and is equipped with metal latches and a chain.
On the front and rear there is the license plate SF-12-74. On the rear tailgate there are also two traffic symbols.
The truck is in a nice, well-used vintage condition. There are signs of wear and age, including scratches, localized paint wear, dust/soiling and some oxidation. The paint seems to have been touched up in places in the past. The inscriptions, license plates and traffic symbols may also have been applied later; there is no certainty about this.
