This decorative panel is an iconic piece of Italian industrial design from the 1950s and 1960s, created by Nino Gobbis for Mobilificio Arreda of Celotto in Montebelluna. The panel features a refined sunken-relief decoration, typical of the organic aesthetic of the period. The composition is dominated by stylized phytomorphic motifs: a four-petaled flower at the top and lanceolate leaves that interlace along the surface, treated with gold leaf to enhance its three-dimensional depth.

In short, it is a solid beechwood panel, carved and decorated to reproduce the look of molten metal. It is part of the ORO series, which was intended for a furniture collection where the panels stood out against the minimalism of mahogany furniture.

The object is in perfect condition despite its 70 years.
Gobbis collaborated with Arreda di Celotto, which in the 1950s produced furniture designed by famous Italian architects and designers, such as Piero Celotto, commissioning decorative panels from artists like Nino Gobbis to furnish bourgeois houses, offices, hotels, or cruise ships.

Nino Gobbis, Italian painter and engraver active in the mid-20th century, a figure deeply connected to the world of bespoke interior design and the Treviso modernity movement of the 1950s and 1960s.

Declaration of provenance
I declare that the present panel comes from the private collection of the Celotto family of Montebelluna, in the possession of which it has remained since the time of its creation. The work subsequently became part of my private collection and is offered for sale with this provenance declaration, issued in good faith.

To protect the panel, it will be shipped with a frame/structure that protects and maintains the panel’s rigidity to prevent damage during transport. This, unfortunately, affects shipping costs but guarantees the object's integrity.
