It sounds as good as it looks. Musical. Clean, with lots of detail and plenty of power.
DENON is a real quality brand, and you can see that in every aspect of this set.
The CD player is very fast to load, fast to forward, and it plays very, very well.
The tape deck is the same: it plays very, very well. It fast-forwards and rewinds very well. The condition is mint. Heads are clean.
The amplifier also plays effortlessly. All sources sound very nice. Good, clean presentation. Plenty of options to tweak the amplifier to your favor, to make your speakers sound their best.
The FM/AM tuner is also working perfectly.
NOTE: Only the source selector button/dial on the amplifier doesn’t work 100 percent; it works about 90 percent accurately, but not 100 percent. If you select the source, it sometimes skips the source you chose, so you have to go back one step. If you use the remote to select which source you want to listen to, the selection works 100 percent accurately.
