Flos - Ron Gilad - Table lamp - mini teak - Plastic

Cheerful and ironic, Miniteca is the desk lamp designed by Ron Gilad for Flos. A lamp that aims to animate the space with a surreal and playful spirit. Miniteca creates an atmosphere that updates a historical object once thought to have been shelved in the attic among old furniture. A strong-charactered object, this lamp is also a homage to the historic abat-jour, but also the poetic statement of its definitive sunset. The designer Ron Gilad did not want to transform or draw inspiration from the shapes of the historic model, but decided to take it as it is, placing it in quotation marks as if it were a line from a poem. Without creating a new lamp the designer decided to preserve the form of the abatjour under a glass case, complete with a plaque inscribed with the name of the style. The feeling, when looking at Miniteca, is that of a museum piece you want to pay homage to. Miniteca playfully presents these atmospheres, adapting them to today, presenting itself as a lamp that condenses the past to look to the future, also thanks to the new generation of energy-saving halogen. The offered models are currently represented by three different historic styles: Victorian Grandeur, Renaissance Cupola and Ottoman Tulip.
