Small Egyptian solid-silver tray, 900‰ fineness – rider carved by hand
Charming small vintage Egyptian solid-silver tray with 900‰ fineness, entirely hand-decorated with the chaser's punch. In the center, a finely engraved scene depicting a rider holding a spear, surrounded by floral and botanical motifs in the Neo-Egyptian/Art Deco style typical of mid-20th-century Egyptian production.
The rim features a wolf-tooth geometric frieze, then a border of stylized ivy leaves, and finally a beaded edge.
On the back are the three traditional Egyptian hallmarks attesting to the fineness (900‰), the assay city, and the year of manufacture.
