Elegant antique Baccarat crystal decanter, distinguished by its refined historicist design and beautifully balanced silhouette.
The clear crystal body has a sottly rounded form, rising into a long, slender neck with a gently flared rim. It is richly decorated with an intricate gilded frieze of scrolling foliage, stylised palmettes and delicate architectural motifs. The finely detailed ornamentation, inspired by Neo-Renaissance decorative art, creates an elegant contrast with the purity and brilliance of the crystal.
The decanter is fitted with a faceted crystal stopper, which is a later replacement and is not original to the piece.
The decanter is in good antique condition, with normal traces of age and use. These signs of time do not detract from its beauty or decorative appeal.
A graceful and highly decorative example of Baccarat craftsmanship, perfect for an antique crystal collection, an elegant bar display or a refined interior.
