History: One of the earliest official registrations of the Cinzano name, dating back to 1568, is housed in the parish archives of the village of Pecetto Torinese (on that note, toward the end of the 19th century a area along the road between Pecetto and Chieri was named Cinzano. The Cinzano were already then specialized in cultivating fruit trees and vines and produced rosolio, a liqueur derived from rose petals, often used as a base for other liqueurs, wines and elixirs, with beneficial properties.
