Circus Knie. - A grand arena of gymnastics. With official approval the Knie family are to present acrobatic dancers on the English elastic rope in the manner of Mr. Casorti and Longomari, with great brilliant performances in the following divisions to honor. (Munich, 1825). Poster with typographical text. Sheet size: 43.5 x 51 cm.
Named are various performances of the later head of the company, Rudolph Knie (1808-1858; son of Friedrich Knie, progenitor of the circus dynasty) and other family members. Particularly highlighted "Die große Ascension oder die Besteigung des großen Seiles auf einem 90 Fuß hohen Baum." - Slightly browned and creased.
