Early 20th Century Moroccan Moorish Hanging Lantern - Multicoloured Embossed Glass
An atmospheric antique hanging lantern in the Moroccan/Moorish tradition, distinguished by its elaborate metal framework and richly coloured glass panels. Green, blue, yellow and clear embossed glass create a striking decorative effect, complemented by pierced metalwork and an architectural domed top.

Materials & craftsmanship: Hand-worked metal structure with pierced decoration and numerous coloured, clear and embossed glass panels. Several hinged sections provide access to the interior.
Dimensions: Height 50 cm (19.69 in); width 19.5 cm (7.68 in); depth 19.5 cm (7.68 in).
Condition: Antique condition with significant age-related wear, oxidation and rust throughout the metalwork. One decorative metal element is missing and one glass panel has a visible chip/damage. Further surface wear, marks and imperfections are present, as shown in the photographs.
