Jim Myers (1823-1892) was the first circus to bring a whole herd of elephants to Europe during his guest performances; in 1875 he established a permanent base in a wooden circus building in Paris. His "Great American Circus" toured Germany and Austria from 1873. The company comprised 150 people, 200 horses and nine elephants. - Poster for the guest performance in Munich, promoting the highlights of the show. Various vaulting numbers of the Bedouin group, "The Persian Double-Ball Act" among others.

Jim Myers (1823-1892) war der erste Zirkus, der bei seinen Gastspielen in Europa eine ganze Elefantenherde mitführte; 1875 etablierte er ein festes Quartier in einem hölzernen Zirkusbau in Paris. Sein "Great American Circus" reiste ab 1873 durch Deutschland und Österreich. Die Gesellschaft umfasste damals 150 Personen, 200 Pferde und neun Elefanten. - Plakat zum Gastspiel in München, das die Highlights der Vorstellung bewirbt.
