Brand: Rolleiflex; Model/type nr: Rolleiflex 3.5 E; Functional condition: Tested and working.
Description from the seller
Here is an absolute masterpiece of German mechanical engineering and one of the most coveted icons in the entire history of photography: the Rolleiflex 3.5 E, designed and produced in Germany by Franke & Heidecke between 1956 and 1959.
The lot is presented in good overall condition, with normal signs of use and preservation consistent with its age.
Optics: The camera is equipped with the upper-view Heidosmat 75mm f/2.8 (no. 600388) and the lower-taking Xenotar 75mm f/3.5 (no. 5017635). The lenses appear clean with no fungus or mold. As is natural for vintage lenses of this era, there is only a light internal dust and very light superficial scratches that are inconsequential to the image quality.
Mechanical and Electronics: Tested and perfectly functioning. The mechanical Synchro-Compur focal-plane shutter fires regularly at all speeds, the side lever for loading and automatic film advance is smooth, and the self-timer responds to the controls.
Aesthetics: Good overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The metal frame and painted profiles show widespread and normal signs of period use, small localized paint losses on the edges, and light surface scratches consistent with the device’s history. The original black leatherette is intact. The upper waist-level finder opens and closes regularly, and the internal retractable magnifying lens for fine focusing is perfectly intact.
International tracked shipping, fully insured and professionally super-protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
