Box (5) - Silver - Group of 5 Solid Silver

A decorative group of five Cambodian solid silver betel boxes, dating to the early 20th century.

Each box is modelled as a chicken or rooster, with finely chased feathers, wings and floral details. The hinged or removable upper sections open to reveal the storage compartments traditionally used for betel ingredients. The five boxes are of graduated sizes and display attractive variations in design and workmanship.

Some examples bear silver fineness marks to the bases.

Condition:
In good overall condition, with natural tarnishing, surface wear, minor dents and small irregularities consistent with age and traditional hand manufacture. Please examine the photographs carefully.
