Italian antique walnut chest of drawers dating from 1900–1910, in walnut wood with four graduated drawers, cast-brass lion-mask handles and escutcheons, architectural mouldings, plinth and bun front feet, dimensions 107 cm W x 58 cm D x 99 cm H, made in Italy (Varese region), in good condition with minor signs of aging.

Italian Antique Walnut Chest of Drawers with Lion-Mask Bronze Handles, 1900s
The chest features four graduated drawers, each framed by raised mouldings and fitted with original-looking ornate cast-bronze drop handles and escutcheons. The handles are particularly decorative, incorporating lion-mask motifs, scrolling foliage and foliate ornament, characteristic of the historicist taste of the period.
The rectangular case has architectural moulded details, projecting cornice and plinth, standing on two front distinctive turned bun feet and two block back feet. The warm honey-brown patina and polished surface highlight the beautiful natural variations of the walnut.
It is a very refined and of excellent construction with high level of craftsmanship that gives the piece of furniture a noble and affected appearance.
Very great overall condition consistent with age and use; minor surface wear with splendid patina.
Presented of moth holes, mainly on the back and left feet(seen on photos), preferred to be treated.
