David Čáp - Side table - Papier-mache - Brown Terazzo stool / sid

This handmade stool and small side table by David Čáp brings a warm, stone-like appearance to recycled paper. Brown and lighter fragments create a terrazzo-like surface across the rounded top and organic supports. The material is papier-mâché, not stone or traditional terrazzo.

Made from crushed recycled paper, fibreboard scraps and steel, the object retains the uneven character of hand-shaped material. Its compact proportions allow it to function as either a stool or a small occasional table. The artist identifies this 2023 work as one piece only.

The object measures 35 cm wide, 40 cm high and 35 cm deep and weighs approximately 4 kg. Signed by the artist and without defects, as confirmed by the artist. One stool / table is included.
