Nino Geraci - Sculpture, nudo - 44 cm - Patinated bronze

Elegant bronze sculpture by the Sicilian sculptor Nino Geraci, depicting a young nude female figure resting against a trunk richly modeled with vegetal elements and fruits.

The figure is presented in a sinuous, gathered pose, with legs crossed, one hand resting at the hip and the other brought to the face. The body, characterized by elongated shapes and a soft, synthetic modeling, interacts with the vegetal element that accompanies it vertically in the composition.

Parts of the face, the hairstyle, and the anatomical treatment of the figure are particularly refined, while the surface preserves a pleasant brown-green patina, with variations and natural oxidations that enhance the modeling.

The sculpture rests on an integrated square base and is signed/engraved “NINO GERACI” on the base. A circular foundry mark is also present, visible in the photographs.

Nino Geraci (Palermo 1900–1980) was an Italian sculptor active in the 20th century, initially trained within the Palermo artistic milieu and later in Rome. His output includes monumental sculpture, figures, female subjects, animals, and works of small to medium format.

Dimensions: approximately 44 × 10 × 20 cm.

Condition: good overall condition, with patina, oxidations, traces, and normal signs of aging consistent with the age and nature of the material. Please carefully observe the numerous photographs, an integral part of the description.
