Statuette, Vierge à l'Enfant - 44 cm - Wood

This 44 cm tall statuette depicts the Madonna and Child, polychrome on wood. It is carved from a single piece of wood, except for the crown, which, by the way, has a flaw along the edge ... see photo. It is in fairly good condition and could be opened up to restoration, but I think it would be better to leave it as is!! It weighs 1.6 kg, and it seems to date from the 19th century and to originate from Central European countries, notably Hungary, Poland, or Romania.
