Elkington & Co. - Serving dish - N° 8960 - Silverplated - Oval serving plate

Oval service plate in nickel-silver metal from the famous English Birmingham manufacturer, 'ELKINGTON & Co'. In very good condition with only minimal signs of wear from age and having been used.
The plate is made of nickel-silver (maillechort) stamped '1A', a mark of superior quality.
Of English origin, the stamp with the letter 'Z' specifies the year 1911 from the Edwardian era.
