Seeburg Digital Electronic Consolette DEC4 Wallbox – 1970s Jukebox Remote, France

A highly collectible Seeburg Digital Electronic Consolette (DEC4), the iconic wallbox used with Seeburg jukeboxes to select records remotely from a table or booth.

The antique bronze/brown housing identifies this as the DEC4 variant, produced from the early 1970s. The DEC4 offered up to 160 selections and is a particularly appealing piece of vintage jukebox history.

This example came from the old contents of a French café/bar in Lille, where it had reportedly spent around 50 years in storage in an attic. The original French-language selection cards remain in place, including handwritten updates and songs from the 1980s. A wonderful authentic detail for collectors.

The unit has substantial original wear, scratches, paint loss and patina, giving it genuine character and an unmistakable vintage appearance. The cable at the rear was unfortunately cut when the unit was removed.

Sold as a restoration/project piece. It requires TLC and should be inspected and restored by someone familiar with vintage jukebox electronics. Functionality has not been tested.
