Description from the seller
Sweet-box made with green and gold enamel on etched glass. Enameling done by hand on a press with subsequent firing in a kiln. Three gold decorations:
- a circular gold line on the base
- a circular gold line on the lid
- a central satin gold band about 3 cm high with floral embroidery.
For the gold decorations, 24 kt liquid gold was brushed onto vitreous paste and fired in a furnace at high temperatures to render it indelible.
