Limoges - S - Fish serving set (10) - Porcelain

Beautiful set of 10 porcelain fish plates from Limoges, France.

Each plate is decorated with a colorful depiction of different fish among water plants, against a softly blue-green background. The scalloped edges are richly finished with a classic gold-colored floral decor and a fine gilded border.

The plates bear on the underside a crown mark with the inscription “Émail de Limoges – Porcelaine véritable”. Additionally, a separate letter “S” is applied, presumably as a decorator or production mark.

A particularly decorative and atmospheric serviceware, ideal for serving fish dishes. The plates are also lovely as wall decor or as a complement to a collection of French porcelain.
