Large Monumental Hand-Hammered Copper Ewer - Ottoman/Balkan Style - Late 19th Century (1.93 kg)
Splendid and imposing vintage copper ewer, entirely handcrafted and finished by master coppersmiths at the end of the 19th century (circa 1870-1900).
The body features an elegant, slender bell-shaped silhouette, topped by a shaped neck and a pronounced spout for pouring. The object's most precious artistic element is the monumental rear handle, richly raised with geometric circular motifs and fixed to the structure with solid riveted plates and era-appropriate joints.
The entire surface bears the dense, regular marks of the original manual hammering.
