Splendid and rare object of Italian industrial design, signed by Ettore Sottsass and produced by Olivetti Synthesis (as clearly evidenced by the raised brand mark "Made in Italy" visible on the bottom). This iconic piece, originally conceived as an ashtray or versatile trash receptacle / modular decorative accessory, represents a perfect example of Italian avant-garde design from the 1960s and 1970s.
