Antique hand-worked copper Aftaba from Central Asia (Uzbekistan origin), dating to around 1900–1910, with a height of 40 cm, diameter 16 cm and opening about 6.5 cm, weighing about 700 g, in moderate condition with heavy use and possibly missing small parts.

The piece is in unrestored, age-related condition. Clear signs of use and aging, strong patina, oxidation and discoloration as well as superficial scratches and wear are present.
On the body and especially in the area of the lid, age-related deformations are visible; the lid therefore does not sit perfectly evenly. The hinges as well as the long spout and the handle are present.
On the surface, remnants of the original decoration or coating are still visible. I am not aware of any restoration or subsequent alteration.
The aftaba has not been cleaned or polished in order to preserve the historic patina.
