Burmese amber from Myanmar dating to the Cretaceous about 99 million years ago, with a large fossil beetle (Coleoptera) as the main inclusion and a Diptera as a secondary inclusion; natural and polished.
Description from the seller
An original Burmese amber from Myanmar from the Cretaceous with an exceptionally well-preserved fossil beetle (Coleoptera) as the main inclusion.
The beetle is comparatively large and largely complete over wide sections. Especially clearly visible are the head with large compound eyes, thorax, body, legs, as well as the wing- or elytral structures. Due to the good transparency of the amber, numerous anatomical details can be examined under magnification.
Additionally, in the same amber there is a clearly recognizable dipteran (Diptera) as a secondary inclusion. In this, among other things, the body, long segmented legs and wings are preserved.
