DESCRIPTION
Moët & Chandon – Vintage Champagne Cooler – ARGIT Meaux, France
A striking vintage champagne cooler produced in France by ARGIT Meaux for Moët & Chandon, one of the most recognisable Champagne houses.
The cooler is richly decorated around the upper section with raised grapevine leaves, branches and clusters of grapes. Two substantial movable ring handles are incorporated into the decorative side mounts.
The front is prominently marked with the Moët & Chandon crown emblem and the inscription:
“MOËT & CHANDON
Fondé en 1743”
The underside bears the original manufacturer’s marking:
“M.O.D MEAUX ARGIT Made in France”
The combination of the Moët & Chandon branding and the original ARGIT Meaux manufacturer’s stamp makes this a particularly appealing piece of vintage Champagne-related barware.
The cooler is made of aluminium and is estimated to date from approximately 1960–1970, consistent with comparable ARGIT/Moët & Chandon examples.

Condition:
Good vintage condition with visible signs of age and use. The metal surface shows scratches, marks, areas of wear and patina, particularly to the base and interior. The decorative relief, branding and handles remain present and intact. No restoration has been carried out.
