Nobuyoshi Araki, one of Japan's leading photographers, and designer Maiko Kurokouchi's collection brand “mame” have collaborated to produce “Aramame,” a collection of works. Nobuyoshi Araki continues to work energetically, publishing photo collections and holding exhibitions constantly. His latest collection, “Moonlight Photography,” is also very popular. On the other hand, Maiko Kurokouchi, a graduate of Issey Miyake Design Office, has gained recognition for her feminine and delicate designs in addition to “Japanese elements” inspired by the countryside and handicrafts, which are popular at department stores and select stores, including Restyle at Isetan Shinjuku. In recent years, she has also released a photo collection “mame -Personal Memory-” in collaboration with a young photographer, Jiro Konami. This book is a collection of works consisting of illustrations pieced together from positive films featuring models wearing “mame” and positive films with Araki's usual motifs.
