AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

READY TO STAR ON A CELEBRATION BANQUET SIT DOWN DINNER OF BUFFET

A unique and exquisite 100 year old banquet tablecloth (340X 180) in Point de Venise lace inserted among embroidered ecru linen . Intricate floral motifs, scrolling vines, and dense details.
It has been professionally washed and ironed to freshen it up after decades of storage. Minimal faint yellow spots visible on extremely close inspection . As a rare feature for such an old tablecloth it has retained its 12 napkins (48cm) and they are visibly unused. They were never washed and, consequently, are very slightly lighter in colour than the tablecloth, but that is hardly noticeable and will disappear after a first washing.
I have mentioned its age as 100 years based on the fact that it was in grand mother's trousseau. She was born in 1905 and, traditionally, in France, families used to start, slowly creating a girl's trousseau while she was still a child, so that, when she married, an assortment of beautiful linens, gradually paid for, over the years, would be part of her dowry.
The tablecloth is in impecable condition except for a couple of brides (bars) that are unattached. But these flaws can only be seen on extremely scrutinous inspection and I only noticed them upon enlarging the photos.
The tablecloth was purchased in France, I however do not know where it was made. Could be Portugal or Italy.
I ship with insurance for up to $800 and with tracking.
Thank you for looking.
