Description from the seller
Pair of Vintage Champagne Buckets (France) – Moët & Chandon & Champagne Mercier
Lot consisting of two iconic champagne cooling buckets, excellent examples of French mid-century advertising and barware dating from the second half of the 20th century (1970s/1980s).
1. Moët & Chandon Bucket
Origin: France (original Made in France stamp impressed under the base). Likely attribution to the historic Argit manufactory.
Design: Cylindrical, flared structure in brushed aluminum with horizontal ringed lines and two classic swiveling side handles. In the center, the famous distinctive black and silver plaque with crown and red seal.
Dimensions and Weight: Height 21 cm | Top diameter 19 cm | Weight 590 g
Condition: The item is offered in the original condition in which it was found. It shows extensive patina due to natural oxidation over time and superficial scratches from use that attest to its history. Structurally solid and free from dents or deformations.
2. Champagne Mercier Bucket (Épernay)
Origin: France.
Design: Line of concentric rings in heavy aluminum with double ring handles and a black and gold rectangular front plaque bearing the inscription "Champagne Mercier".
Dimensions and Weight: Height 20 cm | Top diameter 20 cm | Weight 1,050 g
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. This piece retains extraordinary original brilliance with a nearly mirror-like finish across the entire surface. Minimal and negligible signs of time and a smooth, clean base.
