1792 manuscript (vellum) Groningen with seal remnants, from the time of the four mayors.
The 1792 manuscript (vellum) measures approximately 15 by 36 cm and bears remnants of two wax seals of the city of Groningen.
The manuscript is in neat and collectible condition, with the usual signs of age (the photos are part of the description).
It concerns a purchase letter addressed to ‘Aan Henricus Franssen in den Kleine Raaamstraat’ in Groningen, regarding ‘Een behuijzinge staande ten zuiden het Diep tusschen de Heeren Hardringe bogen’. With mention of various family names, such as Hindericus Franssen and Annegjen Willems, Monsr. Georg Warren & Elizabeth and Jan Trouw & Hillegijn Brants.
On behalf of the mayors (Wijtsius Hendrik Lohman, Wiardus Siccama, Berent van Iddekinge and Eilko Eger Tamminga Sickinghe), the date of 3 June 1700, ninety-two.
Provided with a fine signature of Mayor Berent van Iddekinge and Campegius Hermannus Gockinga, city secretary of Groningen, a position he held from 1777 to 1797.
The manuscript will be sent by registered mail and insured.
