The cabinet features a solid and slender structure in precious mahogany (or richly veined walnut), topped by its original light marble slab. The front pillars feature two refined full columns enriched with finely crafted gilded bronze capitals and decorative details, typical elements of the neoclassical taste of the era.
The central part is equipped with a large flap which, once opened, serves as a comfortable writing desk. Inside, there is an open compartment with shelves, originally lined and intended for storing documents and correspondence. The lower part offers excellent storage capacity thanks to three large drawers equipped with bronze escutcheons and ring handles.
