GENERAL:

We present this extraordinary 2000 Jaguar XJR 4.0 V8 Supercharged, from the X308 generation, one of the most cherished among Jaguar's modern, traditionally conceived models. The XJR combines the classic elegance of the marque’s large sedans with a spectacular 4.0-liter supercharged V8, capable of developing 375 hp, paired with a five-speed automatic transmission.
This unit also has an especially attractive provenance: it has been Spanish from new, originally registered in Spain and purchased in its day at Jaguar V. de la Oliva in Barcelona. We are currently its second owner, something increasingly rare to find in cars of this age.
With 163,766 kilometers on the odometer, over the past two years it has seen significant investment aimed at maintaining it and restoring it to an exceptional state of preservation. The bodywork has been carefully refined, including repainting some panels to achieve a uniform finish, while the interior has also been refreshed, restoring and nourishing the leather where needed and reupholstering the steering wheel.

It preserves all the exterior elements characteristic of this version, including the lattice grille, the chrome, the specific exhaust outlets, and the original 18-inch XJR wheels, which are in excellent condition. The tires show approximately 70% wear life remaining.
As can be seen in the photographs, there are small aesthetic imperfections located at the two corners of the front bumper, as well as a minor scuff on the rear area, which is also shown in the lot photographs. These are minor details that do not detract from the overall excellent presentation of the vehicle and are expressly documented for the future buyer.

MECHANICAL:

The mechanical section has received especially careful attention over the last two years. The 4.0-liter supercharged V8 has been inspected and maintained, while the five-speed automatic transmission has also been serviced and maintained.
One of the most significant recent works has been the replacement of the timing chain and its tensioners, carried out about 3,000 kilometers ago and just one year. In the same intervention, the water pump was also replaced, marking one of the most important maintenance operations on an XJR of this generation.
Furthermore, new brake discs and pads have been installed, transmission maintenance has been carried out, and various updates have been performed. The battery has also been replaced and a disconnect device has been added, especially useful in a collectible vehicle that may sit unused for periods of time.
In total, the investment in the vehicle in recent years is estimated at around €15,000, including the various mechanical, bodywork, painting, interior, and general maintenance works.
As befits a car from 2000, it should be noted that this is a vehicle over 25 years old. INTERIOR:

The interior is, without a doubt, one of the unit’s main attractions. The combination of ivory leather, root wood, and XJR-specific details offers one of the most elegant and representative configurations of Jaguar’s British tradition.
The leather upholstery has been carefully refreshed over the last two years. A full leather treatment has been performed, nourishing and restoring areas that needed it and replacing elements with significant wear. The steering wheel has also been fully reupholstered, currently delivering an exceptional presentation.
The interior wood is in magnificent condition, with no cracks and a particularly well-cared finish. The ensemble conveys the quality and craftsmanship that made the XJR X308 one of Jaguar’s great traditional-conceived cars.
The two front seats are electric and function correctly. The climate control, the original sound system, and the various primary controls in the cabin also operate correctly. The vehicle also includes the original Jaguar telephone, though it currently does not retain the handset.
Equipment is completed with a trip computer, electric and heated mirrors, and the various comfort elements typical of this version. It does not include a sunroof, preserving the factory-original configuration.
Special mention deserves the original 18-inch XJR wheels and the set of version-specific elements, which include the sports suspension, dedicated braking system, and limited-slip differential, along with the powerful V8 Supercharged engine.

DOCUMENTATION:

The vehicle’s provenance documentation is especially notable. It is an entirely Spanish car from new, originally purchased at the official Jaguar V. de la Oliva showroom in Barcelona and currently in the hands of its second owner.
It retains its original maintenance book, manuals, original Jaguar folder, second key, and ITV history. The combination of this documentation, its status as a national car from new, and the small number of owners constitutes a significant added value for any collector or enthusiast seeking a unit with a known and traceable history.
