Up for auction is one of the most iconic, celebrated, and technologically advanced 35mm analog SLR cameras of the 1980s: the Minolta X-700, introduced to the market by Minolta in 1981.

The lot is presented in good overall condition, with light signs of use and storage consistent with the object's age, and it has been tested and is fully functional, complete with packaging and useful accessories.

Optics: The standard Minolta MD Rokkor 50mm f/1.7 lens presents elements in good condition and free of surface scratches, mold or fungus. A slight and normal presence of dust under the lens is noted, a completely physiological feature for antique devices that does not affect image quality or shooting in any way. The diaphragm snaps quickly and the manual focus ring turns smoothly.

Mechanical and Electronics: Tested and perfectly functioning. The electronically controlled shutter fires with precision at all speeds, the internal light meter circuits respond correctly to changes in light, and the LEDs in the viewfinder for time indication are active. The film advance and wind mechanisms move smoothly.

Aesthetics: Good overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The black camera body shows normal light surface wear from contact and storage over time, while preserving period-era inscriptions and logos etched clearly and legible. The original white cardboard box with the characteristic blue circular Minolta logo shows physiological signs of storage and wear on the edges, preserving excellent structural solidity.
