Sell Poltrona Frau chair, made in Tolentino (Italy), 3-seat Chester sofa, in leather, color red wine Bordeaux (SC 97), produced mid-1990s, in excellent condition.

"The Chester nods to the classic model of Edwardian England, revived by Renzo Frau in the first catalog of 1912, inspired by the sofas and chairs that populated in those years the clubs and English country houses. Since then an icon of the Poltrona Frau brand, Chester stands out for the pleated armrests that nobly close the rich capitonné upholstery, entirely handmade.
The Chester has a suspension obtained with bi-conical steel springs, manually positioned and fixed to jute straps on a strutted frame in seasoned beech.
The seat padding is made of elastic horsehair, while the backrest and arms are in molded vegetable horsehair by hand. The seat cushions are filled with goose down. The feet can be spherical or tall, in a beech-stain finish."
