Akai AA-R20 FM/AM stereo receiver from 1979, made in Japan, serial no. 50141-20567, 190 W output, 220 V / 50 Hz, dimensions 14 × 43 × 32 cm, weight 11 kg, power cord included, tested and working with good physical condition.
Description from the seller
The AA-R20 combines a stereo amplifier with an analog FM/AM tuner. The front panel includes, among other things, separate bass and treble controls, balance, loudness, FM muting, tape monitor, and a jack for a headphone. Two pairs of speakers can be switched separately via Speaker A and B. The lighting is less prominent in studio settings. In normal rooms it is fine.
What is special about this model is the built-in power indicator, which shows the output power via a row of indicators. The classic illuminated tuning scale and separate analog meters for signal strength and tuning make it a typical receiver from Akai’s late-70s period.
On the rear there are connections for two pairs of speakers, suitable for 4–16 ohms per pair or 8–16 ohms when A+B are used. This unit is the 220 V / 50 Hz version and was produced in Japan.
