Cookie jar - Glass, Metal

Elegant antique cobalt blue glass biscuit jar, presented in a rich Louis XV/Rococo-style metal mount.

The container is made of deep cobalt blue glass, with a pretty decorative pattern visible through the base. It is surrounded by a particularly ornate pierced mount, adorned with scrolls, foliage, and Rococo motifs.

The jar is completed by its richly decorated metal lid and by a large elaborately formed movable handle. The whole rests on four small curved feet.

A very beautiful piece of_tableware, both decorative and functional, in which the cobalt blue contrasts stylishly with the aged patina of the metal.
